Level 5 Clinical Reflexology:
There is a difference.
Clinical reflexology is an advanced, in‑depth approach to reflexology that looks at the whole person, not just their feet.
Modern reflexology originated within conventional medicine. It transitioned to the complementary health sector not because it was ineffective – considerable anecdotal evidence suggested otherwise – but because prescribing medication proved more profitable and time-efficient.
Today, scientific research is increasingly being conducted to demonstrate the effectiveness of clinical reflexology treatments, with studies including MRI brain scans taken whilst patients receive reflexology.
Clinical reflexology works on the principle that different areas of the feet, hands and ears, correspond to all the different areas of the body, including organs and glands. It is a non-invasive complementary therapy, which aims to support your body’s natural healing responses, encourage better balance within the nervous and hormonal systems, and promote deep relaxation.
I completed my Level 5 Practitioner Reflexology course - the highest level in Europe & the United Kingdom, which includes detailed study of Anatomy, Physiology & Pathophysiology (APP) – the area of medical science that explores how disease affects the body. With this knowledge of APP plus a thorough medical consultation of your health history (nothing scary I promise), your treatments are tailored precisely to your symptoms and wellbeing goals.
Many people find that my reflexology treatments are not only restorative for the body, but also deeply calming for the mind, offering a sense of harmony and grounding in today’s busy world.
